north central Oklahoma | Question Paul,
your quote from above - - -"and a late cold snap has everyone refilling their tanks putting a crimp in supplies. Once supplies have a chance to level out again". I have always wondered if the price spikes actually keeps enough people from filling up their tanks during a cold snap to keep supplies from actually going to "ZERO" if we thought that could happen. Or are price spikes just opportunity items in the industry. I think they just have us convinced that when it gets cold, fule goes up, and when the driving starts, gasoline prices go up, etc etc. No matter the price, there always seems to be plenty at the pump, I have never seen a sign, in this area anyway, that limited me to 5 gallons or 10 gallons per fillup in an effort to conserve supplies.
Just thinkin' out loud on a cold saturday morning. | |
