| SW NoDak. About 50-50 crop- livestock area. Historicly spring wheat area with some corn, sunflowers, and a few specialty crops(peas, lentils etc.). Last fall we've seen large seedings of winter wheat. We had some early moisture and farmers are trying to beat the July 100 degree temps we've been having the last few years. I'm guessing HRS acres might be down 25-30% because of HRW plantings. Then again I have heard lots of corn acres in this area will go to HRS. But corn acres in this county are pretty minimal. | |
