The loose mineral we use has little or no salt in it. We have to put salt in a differant feeder. Actually we've added salt to it at times to try to slow consumption. In the summer we use mineral with IGR in it to control flys and that works well. WE used a min-lick tub with IGR and seem to get the level of consumption we need. Calf weight gains and conception rates are high. Our cows just have a thing for hitting loose mineral at very high rates.
