Central Illinois | I'll admit knowing very little about Smithfield or hogs. However, a good friend of mine currently farrows about six thousand sows for Smithfield in his facilities. His contract with them is up this summer, and he is in the process of buying the sows from Smithfield. However, they are not going to slaughter, and he will be furnishing isoweans to another operation. So, IF these sows are part of Smithfields reduction, how big is Smithfields sow reduction? | |
