I’m a new poster to AT.
I’ve watched AT postings for the past three years and found the posters to possess exceptional knowledge about a variety of issues and concerns in production agriculture. So now that I’m retired I decided to become a registered AT’er.
I chose "Forgottonian" as my screen name since it represents my youth and farm experience that today are memories of the past. Forgotonia is the 14 Western counties of Illinois that ceded from the Union in 1970.
I retired from USDA’s Risk Management Agency in Kansas City in 2007. My RMA experience is a portion of my 30 year career of Federal and private crop insurance program development.
While officially retired, I’ve not quit working because the work is just too much fun and is very rewarding at seeing new programs work.
