Subject: RE: Yield v. Revenue insurance confusion

USA
Don't understand why a person would not want to buy the highest level of revenue coverage crop insurance they could buy. Even with the higher premiums that a person would pay this year, revenue insurance is a better buy than it has ever been. Using GRIP -HE as an example last year in my county the cost for a corn 90/100 policy was around $40 per acre with a $600 per acre floor. This year at the current time the floor is at $750 per acre,if the cost to buy the policy ends up being $75. the cost for insurance is 10% of the policy floor, last year the cost was 15% of the policy floor. Imo this is not a time to try to reduce premiums, pony up and buy the highest level of revenue coverage crop insurance. Doing this is pretty much a no- brainer.
