Subject: Re: Corner post heaving out of ground

Greene County, Illinois
Floating brace is a post attached to the top of the end post--I drill a hole in post and brace then slip a steel pin in and snug with wire to hold in place. Brace runs at an angle to ground or, I like to use old broken piece of concrete sidewalk for brace to float on. Use high tensile wire with strainer from 6" of bottom of end post to bottom end of brace post. When post starts to pull, or brace wire starts to stretch, just retighten brace wire with strainer. Thus floating brace.
