| That's what I'm gonna try. The hydrant is only a year old so the cast is in good shape and water hasn't eaten it up yet. My plan is to shine it up good with wire brush. Put the JB on and then maybe a couple wraps of duct tape and a hose clamp while the JB is still fresh to force it into the crack. Otherwise, my neighbor picks up old hydrants at farm sales and might have a usable head. I think this one will work fine without pressure on it. | |
