North Mo. | I have owned a bale bed since 1994 before that a homemade unroller in a pickup and before that used the tractor tire and a steep hill, if I was feeding hay to a cow herd I would have some sort of contraption to unroll hay. It is so much easier on the timid cows to get groc., that said it is not worth a hoot for younger stuff as they tend to lay down on it even if only giving what they need in a day. We try to strip graze most of the winter but I just purchased 145 big bales to finish out the month of March on two bunches of cattle as those groups are out of grass. Ben | |
