| It may not be profitable for some but like someone said below: who says $6 corn "ought" to work works the same at $3 corn.
Just becuase it doesn't "work" doesn't mean the market won't push the price there anyway.
Like some ethanol plants, livestock producers, and soy diesel plants may have to shut down shop, at lower prices some farmers may have to as well. The nature of the beast and in either case someone will survive to produce.
