I know people who have made a hell of a lot of money with grain bins. It's not all that hard to see when their trucks are running and when they are not and sorta get an idea when they have sold. Storing grain for a few months almost always pays. Storing grain for a longer period of time takes deep pockets and big balls, but it pays extremely well if you stick with it. Selling $6 beans from two years ago right now would pay for the bins outright several times over. Practically any beans grown in the last 5 years, maybe even up to 10 years and held until today would pay for the bins they have been in. You have to define "cheap" and define "high" and then stick to your guns in spite of whatever may happen. |
