You have to be using certain settings for that to work. 

Otherwise, highlight the text you want to "turn blue" and click where the little chain links are in the toolbar at the top of the posting box.  It will bring up a window where you will put in the address you wish to have the link point to, then hit the appropriate "post" or "confirm" or whatever buttons and it will be a link when you are done.
