You're right. "There are bottoms and there are bottoms." Same for tops. Also true in the sense that there's short-term tops and bottoms and long-term tops and bottoms. I think a lot of Paul Tudor Jone's tops and bottoms were of the short-term variety. I also think it's better to try picking the short term than the long term. Big difference in the risk/profit ratio between the two.
