The few farmers I have talked to in Eastern ND have no plans to switch soybean acres to HRS. They have all said the same thing, "Beans yield the same as HRS and there are no discounts on beans". Discounts for scabby HRS can be sever. I still think HRS acres will be up judging by the interest expressed by framers on this board from NE SD and W MN. Acres will also be up in W ND because farmers out there really like growing HRS. Overall the increase will be less than expected because most farmers will stick to their normal rotations. Everything except oats has a good price.
