We don't need tax cuts nearly as much as we need to cut government spending, but we won't have the guts to do that so long as we have an uneducated and polarized public.
In my opinion ,FWIW, Northern Rock is giving us a pattern to go by. Don't be surprized to see even more nationalization of other businesses ,including energy entities,before this thing clears up. The dollar will decline and be replaced by some other currency.Helicopter Ben will cut rates again real soon and flood the market with more liquidity. Gold will hit $1650 and while the stimulus package will sooth out pain for a while, it will not save us in the end. I suspect we will sell our souls to the devil and a lot of our most precious assets,farmland, as well. Housing has not bottomed yet. Probably will take at least 2 years to work through the over supply once we send Mexico back to Mexico and that will happen.,sooner or later.They will be made scape goats for our problems that stupidity and immorality has created. | |
