Gentlemen, Corn on corn does not have to automatically result in a "yield hit" nor a lot of extra tillage expense! Corn on corn can yield right with corn on beans and out profit corn on beans, especially after the system gets going and the soils adapt to the full benefit of all that organic matter. Here are some Iowa corn on corn photos, S MN corn on corn and a fall SE Iowa one pass strip till video where on one pass all P & K are banded as dry along with fall nh3 basically behind the combine.... Spring strip tilled corn on corn is my favorite - the strip is fresh and ready to go. Here is a FALL C on C strip till video link. Apologies for the maybe excessively "artsy" lead in. We were puffing just a bit on the RH end unit with the vent on this heat exchanger system but have made a lot of improvements in the NH3 area for this spring. This shows a Montag cart and an NH3 tank behind the Pluribus on a 16 row Friesen bar. http://www.dawnequipment.com/images/strip%20till%20NH3%20application%20Fall%20corn%20stalks%20SE%20Iowa.wmv Corn on corn can work nicely in Iowa and elsewhere.
