E.Central MN | Just a small point regarding dairy. I don't see dairy cow liquidation happening as fast as some years, maybe the numbers will say I'm wrong. There will be the temptation to switch to all cash crop for some. But the current milk price won't force dairy guys to sell out. Beef cows are a different matter, I think we'd see a liquidation there before dairy. Was at a feeder sale Wed and prices have really dropped in the last month from what I heard. 350# holstein feeders were bringing $0.70/#, will be interesting to watch that market from the producer's perspective. | |
