Subject: Corn / Beans -- Acreage

Speculation: Let's say that the corn acres come up short and the beans show a larger increase than anyone is expecting. Do any of you see the two splitting apart, meaning corn makes a strong move higher and beans make a significant pullback? Has this ever happened?

My gut says that this is what is going to happen in the March acreage report. All of the seed dealers are talking about being sold out on soybeans. $13 beans (at much cheaper inputs) look awfully appealing.

Maybe $6+ corn is on the horizon along with sub $10 beans. Not to rain on the parade, but it seems like a possibility.
