For us prevention is the best. Use a pinkeye shot from local vet clinic. Seems to help alot. When we have one to treat we will give 1cc of hv101 under the eyelid and then patch it with a cloth patch and a glue. When patch falls off the eye is almost always healed. Hasnt failed us.
