East Central, Nebraska | I have been using it for a month or more. I started calving here in the last week. I am not sure i understand how scours develop. I kind of always thought that the calf will get it when it gets muddy and the cow laying in the mud and the disease is picked up when the calf goes to suck. I think i am going to go back to calving 50 cows on 80 acres of cornstalks, where they can go up in the yard if they want but can also stay out in the field too. i have had them locked up on about 5 acres for a couple weeks and the amount of s*#t that has piled up is amazing. I am only a few calves into the season too. Is a calf less likely to aquire scours if it is colder? | |
