We'll be here every day but perhaps some of Tuesday, 8/2. One pivot of hay is on the ground (and just got rained on), another one getting cut in the next couple of days. Hall Effect sensors are sensitive to both vibration and errant magnetic fields. Arc welding on a machine that has Hall effect position sensors can have expensive results. The NH balewagons are festooned with the wretched little things. Welding on a NH balewagon requires pulling lots of connections off to isolate the sensors so that the balewagon will function again when the welding is done. Given that NH balewagons need lots of welding, you can guess I've learned about Hall effect sensors the hard way. The fastest way an equipment/engine engineer can get whacked with a 1" iron pipe around here is to announce that putting another Hall Effect sensor on any piece of equipment is the solution to any problem.
