NE SD | First trick is to get fine thread grade 8 bolts as Jon suggests. We have battled these problems on our loaders in the past. Blue locktite wasn't doing the trick and when you use red it means you're probably going to need the cutting torch to get it off.
Wouldn't happen to be a 30-50 series JD would it??? We had some trouble years ago with a 4440. With those you don't know it until it's too late. If it is one of these units, watch that the frame bolts themselves don't come loose due to a combination of engine torque and loader use. We wound up replacing a cracked side frame and having the block side drilled and tapped for bigger replacement bolts. | |
