NW Washington | Yes you can run the motor with a open center system, but that is all you can do. The system will try to put all the oil out to the motor, and if you have to by-pass oil to control the motor speed you create a lot of heat. Also any restriction put in the motor circuit for an old JD closed center ckt. will should be removed. You will probably need to shut off the motor to raise the planter. Not a very handy or satisfactory arrangement. A hydraulic pump on the pto just for the hydraulic motor circuit would be a better solution. | |
