I think the workload has been reduced since over 30 month cattle can go south. Used to have to preg check and mouth every animal before shipping south.
I read an article in the canadian cattleman magazine of a breeder who shipped bulls south. No problem crossing into Minnesota but had additional requirements on top of USDA protocols for crossing into North Dakota and Montana
