MB-SK | DBmaguet, you were noticing the same things I was seeing! Charolais in ND? Probably quite popular in Ste.Rose. We've had char bulls for a little while (been running with 1-char and 2 red angus last 8 years). Switched the char for a simmental this year. I've been thinking I'd like to rotate the char and simm bulls every 4-5 years and keep the angus every year. If we can afford to stay in cattle.
I noticed the big grain tank also on the bale king. I just bought a new Degelman last year. Didn't get the grain tank on it though. I really like our Degelman 3100HD. (indentical to the bale king). The HD is built a bit stronger and has bigger floatation tires. Also added the right hand discharge and knives for shorter chopping. For grain I'm just feeding with the bucket every other day while it is this cold.
Hey Bigdog, you should be up in Canada buying cheap bred cows!! Killarney or Melita auction marts are probably pretty close for you. | |
