Last winter had a 600 pound calf break its leg .It was getting some grain everyday, not much fat . The flavor was good,but those steaks were dry even the ribeye, hambuger was lean. After that lesson I would go for a fatten calf. Come to think of it if you have been eating beef from the store that cow may taste good to you. I have some frends that say the deer off my place taste better than the beef they getfrom the store. I had a hard time beliveing that till I bought some beef.
