In the last few weeks, I've had 2 landlords call to see about converting brome to cropland. These areas used to be cropped years ago, some terraced. This will increase my cropped acres by 12.5%. A third of it is prime bottom. Hay may be a nicer bread and butterer next year if this phenomenon repeats throughout the margins of the midwest.
