| Here's the part of Dr. Taylor's theory that does not make sense to me. Let's look at an exact quote from the article...
"Taylor explains, historically, the average time span between major droughts in the Midwest is about 19 years....Of the 17 major droughts in the Midwestern U.S. the past 100 years...."
So...there is a major drought about every 19 years. But there have been 17 major droughts in the past 100 years...or one about every 5 or 6 years.
