| Wise man once told me that while everybody else is zigging you ought to zag. Unfortunately, it's hard to apply sometimes. But, he was right. In the 70's and 80's when everybody was sizing up and going gun ho they were running 4 row 48 equipment and a Gleaner G. In the mid 80's when everybody else went tits up they got a 12 row planter and a new 6080 Allis to pull it. In the late 80's they were buying ground like crazy. Margins were actually pretty good then, but most folks had so much accumulated debt they couldn't take advantage of it. I kinda think this thing is kinda like that right now. | |
