A floor rumor that the U.S. government may postpone its ethanol mandate for two years, sent the corn and soybean markets to lower levels Wednesday.
Matt Pierce, Futures International LLC, a CBOT floor trader says if the rumor is true that would be very bearish.
"That would be a massive downside pull on the market," Pierce says. You would see a lot of volume exiting, especially new crop. You have to watch for open interest for Dec. 08 on Thursday for your best indication."
