That sounds like a good idea MSB. Hope you or someone on this board can actually/virtually do that . I just spent three weeks away from the farm and off the continent so won't likely get any more of a chance to jump the fence for a while LOL. I have to say I am grateful for having the privilege/opportunity to live where I do and do what I do which is farm for a living. There is less than 1/3 of one percent of the US recorded population that is making their living as farmers. We have no vote worth anything due to our low percent of the population, colleges full of liberal socialistic professors, government full of power hungry hedonists and a general population that is largely ignorant of what really has made this country so wealthy. All the real new wealth has come from the ground, sea and sky, as in farm production,mining/oil,fishing,wind power, solar power etc. All of the rest of the economy is just a redistribution/consumption of these resources. Our economy is FULL of super consumers. What's $7.50 corn to someone who spends $180.00 on a pair of tennis shoes? I suppose the flip side is that we also sell corn to the china man who buys flip flops for a few cents I suppose. Maybe someone is going to China and can look back from there ...that would be a great perspective. Where I went the price of corn in a 5 pound bag was close to $2.50 US. A large part of that goes to feed fighting cocks to which there are so many I didn't sleep much for three weeks because they crow all night and many people raise them in their backyards. I counted 15 in one neighbors backyard. I always had the idea that it's time to wake up when the rooster crows! More than 11- 5 pound bags a bushel so $2.50 increase in corn divided by 11 = .22 cent increase in that bag of rooster feed...no trouble with that. Let the roosters crow!
