Here in Eastern Ontario, conventional soybeans are basically IP beans so you want to keep the premium and I know nightshade will stain the soybeans. It will be very hard to get any good coverage on soybeans that big so hand picking is basically the last resort. Is this field 30 inch rows or narrower. 15 inch might not be too bad to walk but 7 or smaller will be tough. Might be easier to pick whenever the plants drop their leaves assuming the plants don't lodge. I don't know if there is anything that would dry up the berries in a preharvest spray so I would ask some crop input reps.
