| As I have previously indicated, I am unfamiliar with the MPLS exchange, but I was in NYC the morning silver futures topped. I was not involved in silver, but several folks with whom I was negotiating were involved & were called away for an emergency meeting. Bottom line, there were a lot of ordinary citizens stuck & meaning the brokerages were then stuck as these folks were unable to meet their huge calls. The exchange, on that day, declared the market as "liquidation only" & the game was over. Obviously the wheat situation is entirely different & I do not know the specific rules of that exchange & would hope that action is not on the table. Another alternative is to remove the trading limit & again am not an authority on that exchange. I just throw this out as something to research & it is always important to be alert. I am out of date on those possible administrative actions. | |
