Fuel economy on CNG sucks, and the tanks are big and expensive. They tried to convert city buses, I think in Chicago, over to CNG in the early 90's, but they couldn't make 8 hrs, let alone 12. That's one of the reason Bio took off. It has some nice properties in blends, and there ain't any real good substitutes for diesel yet.
