That is where I learned about plow pans. I was amazed that after a 2 inch rain we would still go out and ride detasseling machines and they wouldn't get stuck. Several of those fields came out of 30-40 years of continuous corn about 5-6 year ago. You talk about big bean yields! Wow! All the seed companies now want rotated fields to avoid volunteer contamination.
