SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ | I find once they are out of farming a couple years they lose touch of what inputs really cost. They like to use their old input costs with my yields and prices. You sound like you keep up current, thats good.
I'm not saying all landlords are like that.Some quit farming and find other things to occupy there time with(hobbies),which is what they should do when they retire.
There is not much share rent anymore, mostly cash. Been more talk of alternate share types but I use manure and I feel the extra yield and lower fertilizer costs should not be shared. I do chores daily, wash barns, load hogs, risked capital expenditure, ect... work hard for that money.
