Brazilton KS | K-State can varify that beans should be planted in the month of June here. If that fails, make it the first half of July or the last week of May. That is your optimum window. Only other thing that shows much chance of keeping up is planting an out of zone variety in April and growing it like corn. Over the time they have data this seems to be giving a decent result but there really aren't enough years to say that it hasn't just hit fortunate conditions (good corn years). A good corn year is not necessarily a good bean year here because of the different seasons, but the group 2 or 3 beans grown like corn are going to have yield results more like corn in the same year then like beans grown in their normal maturity and season that year.
