Near-north Ontario, French River | In fairness , its the speculators that have been driving the market recently anyway. If we as producers didnt take advantage of the specs demand, then yes that is in fact greed on our part. We have had EXCELLENT prices for the last little while. If a person hasnt contracted at least a portion of 08 crop, I have no sympathy for them if the market tanks again tomorrow. So yes there has been greed, and that greed has been hammered on pretty good the last few days. |
