Brad, ours are 965's. Been pretty decent plows. Uses sheer bolt, and when one breaks you better stop right away. If not the shank wil bend. Ours are getting kind of worn now but they have covered a lot of ground. You will want sandy ground with them. They do not work in thight ground. Running about 16-17" deep and keeping right up with the 8420 that has 35 more ponies! Were the 8420 can get good traction it is a little faster but most times I was keeping up or even going faster. Last fall I plowed about 5 circles. Started with the newer 8420 with ILS. Only plowed 4 hrs with it and then I parked it. 14-19 % slip just wasn't getting anything done. Got the Cat. Only 5% slip and using only 11.6 GPH of fuel vs 14.9 for the 8420. |
