| My thoughts are along these lines. This stock market has been damaged. It needs to race out of here and make some solid upside gains; if it fails to do such, then another approach such as the Bush plan may be advanced in Congress, if that doesn't do it, then I suspect they might try the plan advanced by Jim Cramer the other night...have the government buy the mortgage insurers & provide guarantees.....If all of these plans would be put in place--which is a real long shot--it would be highly inflationary down the road and would hammer the dollar. I suspect the Jim Cramer idea was a trial balloon supported by some powerful wall street types. | |
