| I had a 400# steer last January that caught pnuemonia and I had to doctor him clear through most of March. This summer he gained some weight but was too light to be sold with the rest so I kept him figuring next spring I may be able to sell him with another group. He has lost weight with the cold, had been around 570#, now back to 500#. Feed intake is as good as the other steers, just bad lungs so conversion is poor. Do you think it is possible to get him to 600 or 700# for butchering in late summer? Currently on free choice brome hay, some oats hay, and a grain mix, about 1/2 gallon grain a day.
