Deere has "Yield Monitoring" and "Yield Mapping". Monitoring means that you have the display, and it will show the yield at any point in time, but that's as far as it goes. Mapping means that there is also a box called a "Mapping Processor". This may be a separate "wedge box" on older systems, or it may be a brown box that snaps in behind the GreenStar display. If the latter, there will be two cable connectors going into combined display package, and a snap lid on the back box where you insert the KeyCard and the data storage card.

Yes, you will have to get a card reader to read Deere data. You can get a PCMCIA flash card reader or you can use Compact Flash cards (like some cameras have) and get a PCMCIA adaptor carrier to use them in your yield monitor.
