With all the talk of higher corn prices I can't see how these ET plants can pay anymore. I live next to what is supposedly one of the most efficient ET plants in the country. It is hooked to a caol fired power plant and they get steam piped over from it.They are barely at a break even right now. They will operate at a loss for a while and then they talk like they may turn it down to grind less. These new plants coming online are in trouble. The new energy bill should help but has not yet. I just can not imagine that all this demand from these plants is actually going to be there in the long term.
$4 plus corn is good for nobody long term.
