Subject: Re: Buying used welders

Sac & Story county IA
A Miller dialarc shows up on craigslist from time to time. Maybe $400 is price to aim for. Probably new close to $2000, now, list price. One from an older fellow out of his garage would be fairly safe. Probably try it before buying. One like that at Boone awhile back when I was looking. I bought a $90 Lincoln motor generator instead just to have a DC welder in the shop when I take my dialarc out to jobsite. The 3 phase kills most of the market share for most guys. Online auction, have to be cheap because drive a day and get it home and be dead, all you can say is SOB. The auction company knows nothing about what they are selling. But a lot of things in the world are because someone said it is. Most people can be believed. Most?

A candidate?
