South Central Ohio | Do not take a chance! Those type of products are too unpredictable. I have seen three separate cases of bean fields severely cupped and stunted this past few weeks and all had Northstar sprayed on corn fields nearby. The frustrating part is that wind in all three cases was safely blowing the opposite direction the day the corn was sprayed! Seems obvious there was volatization well after the expected two to three day period. One bean field did not show any cupping till three weeks after the corn field was sprayed. This is all documented by spray records and had a very obvious pattern of damage emanating from the corn field. Since it is impossible to predict volatilization that might occur two to three weeks after spraying, those type of products should be avoided or eliminated from our chemical arsenal after beans have emerged. | |
