Comment was made at the sale barn Friday that some of the fats were gonna lose close to $200 a head. Buying 500-600 lbers at $1.60 and selling them back for $87 don't work so hot with $4.00 corn and $150+ hay. After two years of drought, I've been seriously considering how much I want to devote to the hay and cows and how much to the row crops. Properly calibrated crystal ball would make things much easier.
