Need to go to a cattle sale. Took two loads of fats in today, that I'll admit were a little green, to shut off the feed bill. Load after load after load of slaughter cows coming in. Hay's high, grain's high, byproduct's are high.

Did I mention Fats are 10 bucks a hundred less than than this time last year?

Then I went and priced fertilizer on the way home.

60-40-40 ?

69 friggin bucks an acre!!!!! Plus spreading!!!! 2 1/2-3 acres per pair per year, plus pasture costs, mineral, supplement!!!!!!

Hay mix? Typically 70-50-70 for grass hay? 1-1 1/2 acres per pair per year

91.50 per acre!!!!

Alfalfa? 0-100-300?

$260 an acre!!!!!

Holy Sh$%
