Subject: RE: Feedlot fencing

North Cental Mo.
On our gurardrail we used fir relay ties. These are not common railroad ties, they are bigger, and most of them come out of Canada. Our thinking was if they didn't work we could always drive steel in next to them. Pipe sucker rod fence is nice also, ours we didn't concrete anything except the ends and corners, we put gravel around the rest of them in drilled holes. A friend of mine drove his in with his loader and it worked fine, but he did make the comment it was hard to keep them straight. Tops of pipe needs to be either capped different methods for doing that, we notched ours and put a pipe on top and welded it up. As far as working facilities, we are Powder River fans here.
