Van Meter IA | We just bought a Souix hay saver the other day to put in with our weaned calves. I am very happy with it so far. The calves cannot get in it, and they don't appear to drag it out. I was comparing it to the plastic gas line feeders that we had made out with the cows and I bet the cows had wasted about 2/3 of a bale in 2 bales. The only difference between the ones that you have on your trailer is the Souix is closed in on the bottom one foot. Out of curiousity, how much did the cost? I would like to get some more but the Souix is $700 and it makes it hard to buy many right away. | |
