Subject: RE: feeder cattle receiving procedure

North Cental Mo.
Vac, worm, pour, implant, and tag, dry lot with free choice hay, and feed probably .5% first day or so, boosting it up to a little ofer 1%.

I've tried giving Nuflor or Micotil when purchased, and personally didn't see any benefit. But I do know others that swear by it. I put Decox, Iodine, and As-700 in the feed. Then after ten days I switch the as-700 over to aureomiacin, at a low rate, but I keep Decox and Iodine in the feed. I like to keep them penned up in the same pen for ten days, but sometimes room doesn't allow, and they have to be kicked out into larger pens.
